PLT offers a variety of excipients to the nutritional, pharmaceutical and
food industries that effectively fulfill the inert carrier and vehicle
(delivery) role typical required by such substances. However, in addition, these
materials have other properties beyond the basic excipient role making these
ingredients multi-functional to the user. The products and their characteristics
are described as follows:
- Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP), Dihydrate and Anhydrous versions, in fine
powder and unmilled forms as well as Tricalcium phosphate (TCP). These
ingredients are particularly suited to tableting applications, are made under
strict good manufacturing practices, and meet all international standards
including The United States Pharmacopeia/National Formulary (USP/NF), The
European Pharmacopeia (EPR) and the British Pharmacopeia (BP). These
excipients also provide the two important minerals, calcium and phosphorus,
which are vitally essential to bone health and other nutritional requirements.
- UltraGuar™ gum - a premium excipient that is bland, very fine mesh and an
excellent binder for tablets. This material also is a superb source of soluble
fiber so important in today’s health demands for high fiber diets.
- A complete spectrum of conventional guar gums allowing the excipient user
flexibility in mesh size and economics while also providing the secondary
soluble fiber function.
