“helps promote calming and concentration

for mental performance…”*

Bacopa monniera (Linn), commonly known as Brahmi, has been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine from antiquity as a memory enhancing agent.

In well-designed human studies, Bacopa55 has been shown to significantly promote memory and enhance learning,  as well as  improving early information processing, verbal learning and memory consolidation.  Bacopa55 provides a pronounced adaptogenic effect, and significantly reduces anxiety state in humans

Using modern scientific methods, scientists at Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), a premier research institute of the federal government  of India, conducted a systematic chemical examination of the plant to identify the active constituents Bacoside A and Bacoside B, of which Bacoside A was the major component.  Further investigations revealed that Bacosides A and B are made up of two sets of saponins, called  jujubogenin and pseudojuujubogenin,  which have only been found in this plant.

Utilizing sophisticated screening, the researchers developed a proprietary standardized extract of Bacopa monniera comprising an optimum concentration of triterpene saponins with a minimum of 55± 5% of bacosides.  This novel extract, Bacopa55™, has been proven effective in human studies to enhance mental acuity

Pilot investigations were conducted to trace the memory enhancing effect of Bacopa55 in several well-established learning schedules using both negative and positive reinforcements. The results demonstrated that the memory enhancement effect of Bacopa55 is manifest both in facilitating the cognitive function as well as augmenting the mental retention capacity.

In a children’s study with Attention Deficit  Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Bacopa55 showed significant improvements in memory scores of several test systems, including sentence repetition, logical memory, word recall (meaningful and non-meaningful), delayed response, pair association and total recall.

Bacopa55 has also shown benefits in elderly humans suffering from Age Associated Memory Impairment (AAMI), with significant improvement in mental control logical memory, digit forward, digit backward and paired associated memory.

Bacopa55  is safe, well-tolerated and devoid of any undesirable side effects.
