XtraSalad™ is a salad in a capsule.
XtraSalad is a standardized extract of salad greens.
A patented Flash-Détente™ technology process is used which preserves
the polyphenols due to the inhibition of oxidation.
Two grades are now available: 50% and 10%
Polyphenols.
50%
Polyphenols min., 25% Chicoric acid min., 5%
Flavonols min. and 2% Chlorogenic acid min. The ratio
is 1,000 – 2,000 : 1.
The approximate ORAC value of this grade is 9000.
10%
Polyphenols min., 5% chicoric acid min., 1% Flavonols
and 0.5% Chlorogenic acid min.
XtraSalad™
is a whole food, non-GMO
product.
These exceptional polyphenolic ingredients are obtained
by using a patented phytonutrient extraction method called
Flash-Détente™ Technology. This process creates food extracts
with improved sensorial, physical and nutritional characteristics.
The fresh plant material is rapidly heated to avoid browning
caused by oxidative enzymes. The material is then “flashed”
under extreme vacuum. This abrupt difference in pressures
causes the breakdown of the cellular tissues, resulting
in superior release of polyphenols from the plant cell during
pressing.
