P40p™ Pomegranate 40% punicosides

The most powerful, functional antioxidants in pomegranate are punicalagins, collectively known as punicosides. Pomegranate juice has been studied and shown to provide an array of health benefits which have been extensively promoted.

Pomegranate juice is very rich in punicalagins, however, it contains relatively little ellagic acid.

P40p™ pomegranate extract is standardized to minimum of 40% punicosides, (class of natural polyphenols related to punicalagins).  P40p™ contains high levels of antioxidants and natural compounds which reduce the cell damage typically created by free radicals during the natural biological process of oxidation.  P40p™ is Kosher.

The uniqueness of P40p™ originates in the fact that it is standardized to the full spectrum of compounds responsible for the health promoting benefits.  Scientific studies have demonstrated that punicalagins are the compounds in pomegranate that are responsible for its superior antioxidant activity.

Pomegranate Fruit vs. P40p™

The key active compounds in pomegranate fruit are a group of hydrolizable ellagitanins generically called punicosides, including punicalins, punicalagins (a+b), ellagic acid glicoside and ellagic acid.

The P40p™ extract is standardized to 40% punicosides with a minimum concentration of 30% punicalagins.  Published literature has identified punicalagins as being responsible for more than 90% of the antioxidant activity of pomegranate fruit.
